George Lynch - Artist, Engineer, Producer
Stone House Studio, Auburn, California
If anyone knows what it means to play hard, loud, fast and accurate, it's George Lynch, legendary lead guitarist for the metal band Lynch Mob who made his name as the lead axeman for Dokken. That's why when he outfitted Stone House Studio, his studio located on five acres in Northern California, he chose Hafler for his reference monitors, subwoofers and power amp needs.

System Details ...
The control room's dimensions are 11 feet X 17 feet, the tracking room is 20 feet X 17 feet and there is a small storage room and bath. There is an upstairs living area that 20 feet X 40 feet which we sometimes use for tracking guitar.

All rooms are treated extensively with Auralex sound treatment that consists of sound absorbing panels, diffusors and bass traps. There are hardwood floors throughout.

Monitoring from room to room is accomplished through the use of a Furman multi-station monitoring system.

The studio is located on five acres in Northern California in a beautiful rural setting atop a hill in the Sierra Nevada foothills. and is actually an old sheet metal and redwood barn that was built in the 1940s. The studio is less than a year old and was built by myself, my brother and with the help of a few friends.
